“Just as there is typically no civilisation whose peaks haven’t produced their own absurdities as convincing confirmations of continuity, conformism as an achieved level of relations beyond which its understanding is impossible, and finally, rules and relations of communication based on the use and exchange of so-called ‘absolute truths’ of linguistic phrases and witticisms, on which the ‘order and decency’ of its environment is founded, we deliberately sought and seasoned the recipe and right for our ‘domestic’ theatrical exploration of Ionesco’s ‘anti-drama’ with the peculiarities of Boka, convinced that in this way we are preparing a homage it deserved,” writes Neven Staničić.
